Personally I'm a lake and trees person. I can't imagine a more peaceful morning than being spread out on the dock near one of my favorite lake spots, getting lost in a good book, while the sun illuminates the trees that surround. Then maybe a quick swim before I go in for some coffee and breakfast.
It is that imagery, and my love for trees and the water, that inspired this painting. A way to bottle and hold onto that moment in time, you might say.
I hope this painting will bring you peace and perhaps spark a cherished memory of a time you spent near the water - maybe at your favorite summer camp growing up or at a family reunion or girls trip.
